Support
Need help with BotdoTax? Email us and a person on our team will get back to you.
Contact support
Email support@botdotax.com. To help us answer quickly, tell us:
- your firm's name and the email you sign in with
- the client and document involved, if any — by name, never by SSN or EIN
- what you were trying to do and what happened, with a screenshot if you can
Please never email us passwords, full Social Security or Employer Identification Numbers, or copies of client tax documents. If we need to see a document, we'll ask you to point us to it inside BotdoTax.
Signing in
Sign in with your work email and password. If you forgot your password, choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page and we'll email you a link to set a new one.
Joining your firm
Your firm's administrator invites you by email. Open the invitation to set up your account. If it has expired or you can't find it, ask your administrator to resend it from the Users page.
Client portal links
Each client has their own private upload link. Anyone with the link can upload documents for that client, so share it only with the client it belongs to. If a link may have reached the wrong person, contact us and we'll help you replace it.
Are you a client of a firm that uses BotdoTax? Please contact your accountant first — they manage your documents and can resend your link. We can't share your tax information with you directly.
Uploads and extraction
BotdoTax accepts PDFs, photos (JPG, PNG), Excel and CSV files. Clear, flat, well-lit photos read best. If a document shows Failed, try re-uploading a sharper scan or a PDF. If a multi-page bundle was split in the wrong place, open it and use Undo split or re-split it by page range.
Deleting your account
To delete your BotdoTax account, email support@botdotax.com from the address you sign in with. To close your firm's account and delete its client data, the firm's administrator should contact us. We then delete or de-identify personal information, except what we must keep to meet legal, tax or regulatory obligations. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.
